I will be among many local artisans at the Glen Park Art Festival on Saturday July 26 & Sunday July 27 in Williamsville, NY.

I am in my favorite usual spot in the Rock Street parking lot, near North Cayuga Road (#69.)

My booth will feature lots of handmade & restored vintage jewelry- many new fun creations including handmade freshwater pearls, handmade vintage bead & crystal necklaces, vintage broken china jewelry, handmade pottery pendants with kiln-fired transfer ware, and much more!

Fall is in the air…

I’ve been busy creating Sterling silver pieces using garden leaves, maple seeds, and acorns. Also, I have spent time curating & restoring vintage Sterling silver pieces, many with natural gemstones. Among my favorite are those designed by Barse. Melanie Barse started her company in the 80s using natural gemstones including shades of turquoise, blue agate, sponge coral, carnelian and more. Her casted silver and bronze jewelry are produced in a factory in Thailand.

Aside from my obsession with vintage Sterling silver, I am enjoying outdoor raku pottery firing. My naked (no glaze) raku pots are extremely fun to make- love their contrasting black & white!

A relatively new event – the third annual Youngstown Arts and Music Festival – takes over Falkner Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1. Sponsored by a number of local businesses, with support coming both from the Youngstown Business and Professional Association and the Village of Youngstown, this family-friendly affair will offer a number of activities – from musical performances to arts and crafts, wine and beer offerings, foods, children’s activities, even a farmer’s market.
