Stay healthy my friends and hopefully I will see you in May!
I will be exhibiting many items including my handmade raku-fired leaves, horse hair pottery, restored and re-purposed vintage Sterling jewelry at two shows in November:
Saturday, November 16 St. Paul’s Holiday Bazaar (9-2) 4007 Main Street, Eggertsville, NY
Sunday, November 17 St. Andrew’s Holiday Gift Show (9-3) 1525 Sheridan Drive, Kenmore, NY

I have been busy creating new raku fired leaves and new fused glass and broken china pendants for my August shows.
Saturday, August 10 (3-7 pm) Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve Artisan Market
Sunday, August 11 and 25 (10-2) Hotel Henry Summer Market

I found this very interesting (and substantial) vintage Sterling cuff bracelet online. I was a bit disappointed when I received it. Although it wasn’t terribly expensive, considering the solid Sterling is 5.75 inches long and over an inch wide, I didn’t care for the color of the stone and noticed the setting was incorrectly soldered and crooked!
So thanks to my trusty bench grinder and favorite ball-peen hammer, I was able to transform and create a distinct new piece. A touch more polishing and it’s good to go!!

My next show is the Glen Park Art Festival on July 27 and 28 from 10-5
Sunday July 14 10-2
I will be exhibiting my handmade decorative raku & horse hair pottery along with my kiln-fired fused glass jewelry. I will also have a large selection of re-purposed Sterling silver jewelry!

Busy creating new Buffalo-themed items for BuffaLoveFest at the Buffalo Zoo on May 31…(pictures coming soon!)

I am very excited to be part of You’ve Gotta have Art on March 2 & 3…

I was very excited to find a skin-safe copper sealer for my fire-kissed recycled copper creations! This wonderful product is called PROTECTAClear made by EVERBRITE.

My first scheduled show is in March so I am taking this time to design new jewelry and try out a few interesting techniques. Since I have been working with Sterling flatware in some of my designs, I have a bit of silver left over to play with.
I decided to try a version of reticulation, the process of creating a textured surface using a torch to bring the metals to a high temperature.
Here are some of my first attempts!

Stay tuned for my upcoming spring and early summer show schedule!
