I will be a returning artist at St. Andrew’s Spring Craft & Vendor Show on Sunday 3/24 from 9-3. I have been working on a few new things including raku leaves and vintage sterling dragonfly wings…

Last November I gathered some of my favorite leaves (mostly hydrangea along with a few tulip leaves my twin sister picked up along the bike path) and placed them in my freezer.
So happy I did! I pulled them today to make another batch of raku-fired leaves. Here’s how they look so far…

I fired these about a month ago…so happy with the colors!!

I am very excited to be part of You’ve Gotta have Art on March 2 & 3…

Just finished two pieces featuring the hair from my niece’s horses in Colorado. (Twister and Daisy kindly donated some of their hair after grooming!) Special thanks to their owner Jill!
These pots will be donated to a local charity fundraising event: The Lupus Alliance of Upstate New York (LAUNY) Diva’s Treat Raffle

My first scheduled show is in March so I am taking this time to design new jewelry and try out a few interesting techniques. Since I have been working with Sterling flatware in some of my designs, I have a bit of silver left over to play with.
I decided to try a version of reticulation, the process of creating a textured surface using a torch to bring the metals to a high temperature.
Here are some of my first attempts!

Stay tuned for my upcoming spring and early summer show schedule!
I will be sharing my handmade decorative pottery and jewelry:
